Well folks, I have a treat for you. Originally slated for Rocktodd & Stobop's One off Wonderland thread the length of the game seemed like it would make a better multi-part project.



Trio the Punch: Never Forget me is a game made by Data East. Mainly noted for it's bizarreness and stupidity, this game seems like it was intentionally created to be bad. There are many self parodying elements in the game including appearances by Data East's heroes of the time Karnov and Chelnov. Trio The Punch is a well recognised example of the increasingly popular Kuso-ge (Shit Game) genre, and while everything in this game seems determined to be bad and annoy the player, I couldn't help but have a fairly good time playing through it. Strange and weird things happen around every corner in this game, so I think it will be a blast to watch. More Game details can be found on exhibit A:

Right off the bat I want to say, you may notice something slightly off with part II. As my favourite error message proclaims “Something really bad happened”. We resuscitated it but it's still not as good as I would have liked it to be. So I decided to make it up to you by making this update a two for one. Not only do you good folks get the far superior Episode III with this release, I have also included links to some bonus videos that relate to the LP parts in question.

In this episode we reveal the true identity of Master Chief, discuss aphid sexuality, and appreciate classic sculpture. There was a bit of a debate as to whether aphids were asexual. For those of you interested, Aphids have a sex but can reproduce asexually in warm environments such as greenhouses and in the tropics. The more you know!

What a journey it has been. Karnovs, Chelnovs, ninjas and slimes as far as the eye can see. They all fell victim to my W-Fist. I can safely say that the title “Never forget me” is an appropriate one because data east has made one game I will never forget.
